This community is for women leaders who want access to innovative people, resources, strategies and information that will make their lives better.
We host evening and weekend retreats that are designed for successful, savvy women who have a passion for living their lives to the fullest and are conscious about having an impact on their communities locally and globally.
Our events are called retreats rather than "meetings" because most of us already attend enough meetings! What women leaders crave is a place to connect naturally in a great environment (no banquet halls or boardrooms!) to learn about ways to make our lives easier, better and more fulfilling and discuss issues that are close to our hearts.
Evening Retreats
Our evening retreats are held at great venues such as restaurants and design showrooms on a monthly basis. There is an emphasis on design and "lounge-ability" in the venues we choose so you can naturally connect in a relaxed environment. We have engaging speakers who facilitate interesting and interactive discussions while you enjoy a glass of wine and great food. Each month we will also have local sponsors that have wonderful discounts and gifts for the members.
Weekend Retreats
We are hosting two weekend retreats per year at a destination spa or luxury inn. These weekend retreats will give you the opportunity to relax and unwind by yourself or with friends with minimal scheduling. There will be some activities but the goal is pure rejuvenation and relaxation so you can come back feeling re-energized. Your membership will give you access to great discounts on these wonderful events.
Agents of Change - Giving Back
When women come together on a topic or issue, we have tremendous power to impact change.
This program creates a structure for creating change for women locally and globally. We have
created programs to assist women in business locally and globally by donating 10% of the membership
dues from the Panta Rei Community as well as organizing trips to teach girls and women basic buisness
skills in our own country as well as in developing countries around the world.
Locally, we're supporting WEDA (Women's Economic Development Agency) whose mission is to assist
women in achieving economic independence through a holistic approach to business development and wealth
building that encompasses classroom training, technical assistance, mentoring and access to pertinent resources.
They've helped women launch 1,339 businesses in Atlanta since 2002.
Globally, we're supporting The Girl Effect started by the Nike Foundation. The Girl Effcct has been defined as: the powerful social and economic change brought about when girls have the opportunity to participate. There are 600 million adolescent girls living in poverty in the developing world. By giving one of these girls a chance, we start the girl effect. When girls have safe places to meet, education, legal protection, health care, and access to training
and job skills, they can thrive. And if they thrive, everyone around them thrives, too.
6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Do you leave part of yourself at the door every day when you go to work?As you go down the check-list of what you need for the day is there something you consciously, or not, leave at home? Whatever it is, you might NOT be helping yourself or your career by checking it at the door. It is ok to bring your "WHOLE" self to work.
Jeni Cook is the Executive Producer for CNN Newsroom with Tony Harris and the show has a devoted following. She’s going to share her experiences about what happened when she decided to bring her “WHOLE” self to work in a high pressure, time sensitive environment. In addition, she’s going to give us a view into what it takes to lead a team of writers and producers, making instant decisions and overseeing
two hours of live news programming on CNN.
Jeni has been with the network for 11 years and in the field of broadcast journalism for 15 years and she’s played an integral role in CNN’s coverage of some of the biggest stories of this past decade, such as the ‘recount’ in the 2000 U.S. Presidential Election, the terrorist attacks on 9/11, the war in Afghanistan and the historical 2008 U.S. Presidential campaign, election and inauguration. She’s also been the recipient of several Emmy Awards, an Edward R. Murrow Award and a New York Festivals Gold World Medal in 2003 for her coverage of the U.S. invasion in Iraq. In 2007 she was honored by the Atlanta Association of Black Journalists for a series of reports on issues pertaining to minorities.
